Once again, I've fallen far behind in updating T's blog. Thomas is into absolutely everything right now and keeping me busier than I ever imagined! Going back to March, we took a great trip to the beach with Trey's parents. The weather was nice enough that T got to enjoy the beach for a bit, digging in the sand and looking for cool shells. We also took a trip to the aquarium - T really enjoyed the giant fish that he could climb into and slide out of via the tongue. He did try to touch both a stingray and horseshoe crab as well! I think Thomas' favorite activity was riding the golf cart. He was asking for rides the minute he woke up in the morning until he went to bed at night. He does love anything with wheels on it!

That brings us to Easter. Thomas had a good Easter, celebrating both at school and at home. While at school, Thomas participated in an Easter egg hunt, a hat parade, and had a great party with his buddies. I will admit that prior to this egg hunt, I let T practice hunting eggs at home - not because I thought he needed to find the most eggs, but because I didn't want him frustrated and upset at school, not knowing exactly what was going on during the hunt. I will say there were some kids who had no clue what to do and they kind of missed out on the fun. The hat parade was interesting... I had never heard of such a thing until this so was really unsure of how to decorate a "bonnet" for Thomas. In the end, I went with old faithful - Clemson. I transformed a hat using orange ribbon, some foam, construction paper, and stickers. Take a look at the pictures below. Thomas wasn't too sure about the parade itself, especially when he saw me sitting in the room watching but he really did love wearing that hat. As for the party, it was a pretty typical preschool affair - cupcakes (i made!), fruit, yogurt, juice - and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Here at home, Thomas got to check out his Easter basket first thing in the morning and hunted eggs outside later in the day. We didn't hide his basket, as is tradition in my family, simply because I didn't think he'd understand what to look for. In his basket were books, a tool box, and some assorted food items (rice krispie eggs, "carrots" made of goldfish...). We went to church, during which Thomas sat quietly for most of the mass eating a rice krispie egg. Afterwards, I made my first Easter dinner (Trey, Linda Ann, and Thomas were guinea pigs!) of ham, mashed potato casserole, green bean casserole, and peach cobbler. It was a good celebration!

And finally, to wrap up this post, I have a few pictures of the start of our veggie garden and Thomas riding Bella, the mini horse.
