First of all, he never stops running. I'm pretty sure that he conquered the walk over a few weeks time, moved onto the run, and hasn't stopped since. Along with the running, came the talking. You probably remember his angry italian-like babble. Well, we've come a really long way since then. He's repeating almost every word and noise that he hears, which has been very entertaining. Occasionally it'd be nice to have a toddler interpreter here, as he sometimes spits words out that I can't quite understand. His favorite and most used words right now, in no particular order, are truck ("cuck"), tractor, car, key, gas, hot, ice, cold, snack ("nack"), up, sit, stuck ("guck"), Tess, Mommy, Daddy, horse, dark, noise, outside ("hide"), shoes, porch, book, slide ("yide"), napkin, a mess, and apple. He also says a lot of "dis" while pointing which can either means he wants "this" object or wants to go in "this" direction. Needless to say, he is talking a lot!
Besides all of that, Thomas is always busy playing, most often pushing around a truck, train or tractor. These vehicles are always in need of keys and gas, and are curiously always going up. He has several stuffed animals that travel around the house depending on where he is and what he's doing. He is always sure to offer his milk and snacks these "friends" of his - very nurturing. As for books, Thomas went through a phase when he was about 12-18 months old where all he wanted to do was read. This has lessened a bit as he's becoming more imaginative with his other toys. I'd have to say his absolute favorite activity right now is to just be outside. He'd be happy to just follow Tess around the yard all day, stopping of course to dig in the dirt, pick up bugs, and point out piles of horse poop. We've been so lucky to have this wonderful yard and plenty of room for him to explore - I'd say we moved out here at just the right time.
Thomas' eating habits are pretty boring and typical for a toddler. He has days that he'll eat everything I put on his plate, and balances those with days where he eats next to nothing. I have to say he never refuses milk and snack foods (animal crackers, pretzels...) so at least I know I can get him to eat something on those bad days. He sleeps great, from about 8-8:30pm until 7am with a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon (unless he's getting sick - then he doesn't sleep at night!). We definitely have nothing to complain about in the sleep department, he's always been a great sleeper.
That's most of his daily interests, activities, and habits! Like I said before, he keeps us busy, entertained, and laughing.
