The Apple Orchard

Thomas told Trey and I for weeks that he wanted to go to the "big mountains".  I still don't know how he came up with this grand idea or why it was so important to him but we decided it would be fun to go to the big mountains, as we hadn't been in over in a year.  We planned a day trip to Sky Top Apple Orchard, a beautiful orchard outside of Hendersonville, NC in early November.  Thomas had a great time searching for apples to pick (as all the trees were pretty empty), taking a tractor pulled wagon ride, petting sheep, goats, etc. The highlight of his day was probably eating fresh apple donuts and drinking apple cider.  We also had an unexpected run-in with Mugga and Pap pap who were in the mountains celebrating their 39th wedding anniversary.  All in all it was a great day and successful trip (we brought home some delicious pink lady apples!).
